It’s quite scary getting work done to your home, especially if it’s an old home from the Georgian era, but Matt held mine & my husbands hands every step of the way.

We wanted to open our kitchen up by knocking down two internal walls - one load bearing, one not and toilet taken out.

He came to review the work, gave us a competitive quote and suggested a structural engineer who we used for the RSJ then he set a date for the works.

We signed contracts and he was always there on WhatsApp to answer any questions we had.

His employees were all really friendly and the work was to a very high standard, they took the walls down really carefully saving the hand made Cornice.

The plastering was so smooth, the carpenter did really detailed work and he brought in the electrician at the right time.

His plumber came back several times to make sure the job was done well, even at 8am on a Saturday morning when we thought something had gone wrong.

The finish was to a very high standard with all the skirting boards and Georgian fixtures refitted (that were taken off early, he saved them to refit to keep the character of the house. )

We will be getting Matt back to do phase two - small extension with toilet.

We spoke to Matt about converting our internal garage into an extra bedroom, having received a few quotes from various companies we decided to use Pro Build East Ltd, mainly due to the personality of Matt and he filled us with confidence with his knowledge and taking time to listen to what we actually wanted.

We had one wall that contained gas & electric meters along with fuse board and cctv system that we didn’t really know how he was going to work around these as moving them all wasn’t really an option for us due to cost. Matt and his team made it look amazing and you wouldn’t even know they were there, they even added in some built in shelves to ensure no space was wasted.

They rushed round late on a Friday afternoon to fit the window as soon as it arrived as we had children having a sleepover downstairs that night and wanted to make sure they were kept warm.

They even came round to finish off the room during Storm Eunice!

Matt, Jamie and Gary were all extremely friendly and professional, answering the many many many questions that we asked along the way.

They left the room clean and tidy when they’d finished and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future and would definitely recommend them to friends and family!

Pro-build carried out extensive development works to my property. Prep work was to demolish an existing building and construct a new extension

Matt and the team should be commended on the workmanship from start to finish of the works carried out.

Matt and the team at Pro Build (East) converted my kitchen. This involved the removal of several internal walls to open the kitchen into one large open space with a 5 metre wide slide and tilt door system into the garden. The team also had to introduce several large steels and one steel goal post to replace the load barring capacity lost by the removal of the walls.  I've completed several building projects and I can honestly say I've not worked with a better building company. Matt and his team are professional, turn up when they say, finish the job and more importantly when issues arise (as the do in any building project) not once did this cause a problem and they would work around it or find a solution. It is also obvious Matt is well liked in the trade, when the structural engineer I employed introduced a problem and went AWOL, Matt immediately spoke to an SE he knew and he was around in a few hours sorted the problem and Matt didn't charge me a penny, which he was within his rights to do. There are many other examples similar to the above and every time Matt is there to help!

Guys worked hard in hot weather and the base was completed nicely. Only negative was that other than on the final day the guys left without saying they were done or whether they would be returning later in the day and this was around 1300-1400 on one occasion. Communication could be better but work was done well.

Matt and Mitch were excellent. Arrived on time and completed job in one day and to price. They left the side clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pro Build (East) to anyone.

Added my job to mybuilder.com yesterday morning, Matthew called within two hours and we agreed a price. Job was completed the next day. Matthew and his team were punctual, polite and professional at all times. The standard of work was excellent and straight into the job within minutes of arrival. They cleaned up and removed all rubbish upon completion, you would never know they had been on site. They even agreed to return the next day during daylight if there was something found that I was not happy with. Can not praise Pro Build East enough, I would definitely use them again.

Matt responded quickly to my posted job and was here on punctually for his assessment of the job. (Out of six builders, 1 turned it down, 1 failed to turn up to two meetings and 3 failed to even reply so we were very impressed with Matt’s attitude. The door would be an unusual size but Matt made sure he could get the size required before providing a quote within a few hours. The first task was to remove a built in safe (3’6”x2’6”x2’) which was found to be encased in 12” reinforced concrete. A pneumatic drill was sent for in order to break the concrete up. There were no complaints and the builder, Jamie, who just got on with removing the concrete and moving the safe.
The team carried out their particular jobs to a high standard and Matt came in on a Saturday morning to finish the job and make sure everything was just as we wanted.
We are so pleased with the work that we have already asked for a quote for another job that we would like done.
We cannot praise the team highly enough. Everyone was friendly and willing to explain what they were doing and listen to, and resolve, any concerns.

I had a few quotes from this site and decided on going with Pro Build East as they had very high reviews and after meeting Matt he seemed like a really genuine bloke. The work was carried out to a good standard and was completed on time. There were a few extra bits i wanted to add in or change and this proved no problem to sort out. I was kept informed of the work as it progressed even while I was in Australia with pictures and a call. When almost finished I had a walk round and chat with Matt and we sorted a snag list which was dealt with quickly with no fuss. I would recommend Pro Build East to anyone looking for a honest, no nonsense building contractor with good value for the money.

Matt was genuine and pleasant to deal with. He arranged, materials skip etc and we agreed on a date/time for work to commence. Together with his colleague they removed existing failing wall, dug out footing made a new footing, then next day laid the wall as expected. Matt of Pro Build (East) Ltd. was instructed to complete a home extension on my Victorian Mid-Terrace property at the beginning of July 2019. Matt initially replied to my MyBuilder advert promptly, came to view the job within days and could start the next week (in hindsight, probably not a good sign).

He started work on the Monday, providing a quotation and an expected completion date of 3-4 weeks later for the complete extension including removal of waste, plastering and external rendering.

Throughout the build, Matt's communication was prompt, replying to emails, phone calls and text messages mostly within the same day. Unfortunately, on a number of occasions problems arose with the project and I was frequently to blame for certain aspects, for example it was my fault that the roof could not have slates because the roof was built at a low pitch - however the quote included slates?

The quality of workmanship throughout the build was very varied, requiring Matt and his team to return a number of times to re-do work which was deemed unsatisfactory by me, other workmen and the building inspector. There is quite often a number of excuses for why work has not been done, or why it has been done to a low standard as opposed to correcting the issue without argument.

In the end, the whole build took 14 weeks to complete and remained to have a number of snagging issues, I would not personally recommend this company for larger works such as this.

Sorry to read your feedback. The reasons for it taking longer was due to having to order a specialist flashing kit for the roof as it was a very low pitch. The points the building inspector made are as follows .
Side wall sealed. French drain made wider. Guttering changed from half round to deep flow. Some of which couldn't be done as the customer did not want to pay for that work. When I said i would do this at no extra cost he was still wouldn't let me follow the inspectors advice because he didn't want that. Half way through the job the building inspector asked for an rsj to be fitted rather than a catnic lintel . The reason for the slates was because of the low pitch roof so what we did was flat roofed it then put slates over the top for decorative look. The customer asked for the original kitchen ceiling and wall to be plastered which I done for no extra cost . I always try and work to my customer's expectations but there are regulations to follow and as a professional, I always work within those. Please see my other feedback for examples of the service you can expect from me.

The task of breaking up and removing a concrete slab in my small garden was quickly and pleasantly done. Small problems were easily overcome and the price agreed was reduced because of the short time taken. I am completely satisfied and will willingly use the services of Pro Build (East) Ltd again.

I have personally inspected the work and they have done a brilliant job. Their communication and progression was excellent even with some pretty rough weather. It is very tricky to find people that are trustworthy, but Matt is someone that you can trust with your home and know that things are going to be done properly. He always rectified anything that wasn’t quite right for us.

Matthew was a very polite and professional young man. He explained what would be required for the job and arranged for scaffolding to be supplied. The repointing was carried out well and a problem with a window sorted. We also had a garden retaining wall demolished and rebuilt. We are very pleased with the resulting new wall. The job was repointing a section of the front elevation, which is a grade II listed brick and lime mortar. Matt came out very quickly to have a look at the job, explained all the options to me and the implications of each (cost, longevity and aesthetics), and did me a quote on the spot. He turned up bang on time every day, did a superb job, and worked very neatly and cleanly, causing no disruption to me or my neighbours. Also, and this is not to be underestimated, Matt is also a really nice guy and is easy to get on with.

I've already rehired Matt for another job for which he offered some ideas and suggestions, and I'm confident I'll be able to leave feedback like this again.

Construction of brick buttresses using lime mortar.  Matt and his team team turned up when promised, carried out the requested work and left the site in a tidy state; you can't really ask for more. Would definitely use again.

Well I had the best experience with Matt and his team, honest, fun and sincere with fair prices for medium small jobs. Although my garden was quite big, I kept them fed and watered and they worked so hard and well for me they were great and very skilled even when trying new things they were always positive thinking and polite. I cant say anything other than 100% highly recommended and wish they'd stay always as I miss 'em :)

I was really pleased with the work carried out on my patio by Matt and his team . Matthew came to check out the job and we were able to identify some important repairs before this job could take place. Repointing of rear elevation and to the main chimney which required scaffolding. Existing was a mixture of lime and cement mortar which had to be ground out. Matthew provided samples of pointing and we chose a cement mortar with slightly recessed pointing. A messy job but the area was cleared at the end of every day. Very please with the end result.

Hired Matthew to repair my brick wall after reading all his feedback. He gave a precise detailed quote and explored ways of coming in under budget as well. I'm very pleased with the work and the job was conducted tidily. 10/10.

Matthew did a great job re pointing and rebuilding my chimney stacks plus building me a new garden wall.he built the wall to blend in with the house using reclaimed bricks which looks superb.also repointed an existing wall that was tired and re freshed a very rough patio area into looking like new without trying sell me more work that wasn't required.I was very happy with his attitude to the job and manner towards us throughout.both Matthew and his co worker gave sound advice without creating extra work.i will be using Matthew again in the very near future for more work needed.

MATTHEWS TEAM REPLACED A GARDEN WALL AND EXTENDED THE EXISTING DESIGN TOINCORPERATE A SECOND FLOWER BED, A NEW AND IMPROVED ACCESS TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE OF THE PROPERTY AND A STORAGE AREA FOR WASTE BINS. THIS WAS FINISHED TO A HIGH STANDARD WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF PROFESSIONALISM.

Matt re pointed and rebuilt extensive amount of brickwork and flint-work walls and reset archways of my grade 2 listed property with lime. His lime and flint work was very sympathetic to the historic nature of the 400 year old house. He is skilled in particular with the use of lime, efficient, reliable and pleasant to deal with. He is straight forward in his communication and fair with his pricing. I have no reservation in recommending him and will use it in the future for brickwork.
